Cersaie Fair

This year our Director's attended the 39th edition of Cersaie; the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings. This is an annual event held in the beautiful city of Bologna, Italy and is an exciting display of the latest in wall and floor tile design, often credited with setting the trends for the next year.

This year the event certainly lived up to the high expectations of all attendees! Cersaie 2022 recorded 91,296 attendees over the five days of the exhibition, an increase of around 50% compared to last year's edition, which had marked one of the first returns of a major exhibition in this tumultuous period.
The commitment to the sustainability of Italian ceramics was the underlying theme of the entire event and was also concretely reflected in the district's voluntary agreement on limiting emissions. It was reassuring to see the efforts moving forward to commit to more and more sustainability in this industry, and also just as reassuring to note that “global impacts from the energy crisis hasn’t slowed or dampened the innovation and creation of new porcelain surfaces and products.”
From terracotta making a come-back to mini-brick feature walls to stunning large slabs it was clear that moves back to warmer tones and textures was obvious with some stunning new collections on display. And while our directors were busy securing new products for 2023 the team back home was in awe over all the beautiful imagery we were being sent!
