This 80’s bathroom in need of a facelift was transformed into a 2023 TIDA Bathrooms Award finalist by Hub Design.
The clients wanted to keep the timber ceiling and architraves to keep the style of the home but modernize the rest of the space for a home full of children. Hub Design began by replacing the outdated corner bath with a stylish free-standing bath against the back wall, adding LED strip lighting and our stunning textured Unique Travertine Ruled tile. They lengthened the vanity and added an extra sink, perfect for multiple children to share for bathroom rituals like handwashing and teeth-brushing, and made the shower as wide as possible to account for the sloped ceiling.
To transform the space from practical family bathroom to a restful adult space to relax in after a long day, Hub removed the cumbersome fans and lights and replaced them with more modern options including a second switch that allows for lovely soft mood lighting. Brushed brass to add a luxurious touch to the space that pairs beautifully with the Unique Travertine tiles that line the floors and walls; an anthem to the tactile beauty of travertine stone that works with the rest of the room to create a sophisticated style that flows beautifully with the age of the house in a timelessly sophisticated style that any homeowner would be proud of.
